Ronald Cammarata, DVM

Dr. Cammarata's background is impressive and highlights a strong foundation in traditional veterinary medicine, surgery, and acupuncture. Growing up in New York and earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1998 and a Veterinary Degree in 1991. His journey took him from Chapel Hill, NC, and Delray Beach, FL, then finally to San Diego in 2004, where he now continues his work here at Carmel Mountain Ranch Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Cammarata was certified in veterinary acupuncture in 2000 from the Chi Institute in Florida.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Cammarata has a passion for endurance sports like marathon training, mountain biking, pickleball, and backpacking, which speaks to his active lifestyle and commitment to physical wellness. Lastly, Dr. Cammarata also enjoys helping out at the San Diego Humane Society with surgeries. He adopted a rat terrier from the Humane Society back in 2008 who is a young acting 17 year old, named Just.
